A letter in Paradise

Yesterday, Renee, would have been 54 years old.
Renee is my angel, who seems even now sitting beside me and whispers in my ear - "that it's all right, she wants what I send you Hello!"

Happy Birthday my Blog!

Guys, I even don't belive! Today are my blog's birthday - celebrating 1 year.
The story of my personal virtual magazine started, (not as strange as it may seem to you), because of the show Lost. About a year ago, about December, I downloaded the first season, after which I started to download the second one, and then third and so on. After that I was curious to know a little about the actors - playing major roles. Once, I found the official website of Jorge Garcia -Hurley from Lost. It is to him I owe many! If not him, I would not probably know about the blog, but if I had never heard about the blog, thus I never meet you.

It so happened that in order that I could write comments in Jorge's blog, I had myself own a blog. It's happened.
I will open my secret - so why I called my blog in this way !??
Everything is simple, the first thing that occurred me - it's to change for a little to the name of Jorge's Blog -Dispatches from the Island - in Dispatches from the ME!!! :)

When my blog only appeared , I did not expect that it will be so many readed by people. it is like just now I remember - my first comment was written by CHRISTYZEE:

After this comment, half of the year nobody read my blog, but I did not need that have, I just wrote all that I had in my head. But from that day when I received a letter from the Hawaii from Jorge, everything changed.

Jay and Jack’s 30-Hour Podcast for Autism Speaks

In this Sunday, I spent an unforgettable day and night, sitting at the monitor of my computer! Some funny guys - Jay and Jack (of "The Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack") was in the middle of hosting a 30-hour podcast. The podcast, which started Saturday at noon (EST) and ends Sunday at 6:00 PM (EST), was and is being held to raise money for Autism Speaks. Their goal is $ 30,000.
Bethany was on for an hour earlier Saturday and Damon Lindelof was just on, and Jorge was on for the last hour and a half of the podcast (4:30 to 6:00 PM EST).
I've spoken with Jorge's (Hurley) girl friend -Beth. I am a simple guy from Moldova, communicated with Beth!??? It was so Awesome! I had a lot of questions, for example - what is your favorite song? What is your favorite movie? Do you have an Ipod!?? And even - what toilet paper you use (on the last question, I don't heard an answer) ...
It was very fun! for me it was very important moment, and I just could miss this Podcast, in which was-- REAL actors and creators of Lost, because it is the last season of this Great Show.

Second gift from Hugh!

I am so glad that on this festive day, I have a chance once again to touch the thing that touched my friend from the Far East - Hugh. If you remember, recently, I have written about his wonderful gift, and I just don't belive, that I can do this once again .

At this time, Hugh, sent me a very beautiful and unusual gleaming card. When I move it, on card appeared the spinning circles. Click on image for more information about St. Patrick day!

A gift from Patricia

I want to tell you a little about one event that happened to me, this winter.

One of the owners of a beautiful blog - Lisa, every year on Valentine's Day, make wonderful contest OWOH - One World One Heart. Because of she is the chief organizer of this project, to OWOH attached and other interested parties to create their own personal competition, too. Click on the picture to see a list of participants.
As you probably noticed in this year's participants were a lot-1088. That's an incredible figure, but now I can heartily admit that I cheat a little. In order that I had more chances to win, I had to leave all these blog comments. I think that it is simply impossible to write in all the 1088 blogs, different views and comments, so I wrote the same comment:

"Hi dear!!! I like your idea! It's very Awesome! I wish to ALL who will participate in this wonderfull give-away, Big Good Luck! Yohooooo! ;) "

From the very beginning I was just sure that I win that what happened. I was lucky to be so lucky! On that day, I was very happy, and just two weeks later I received my official prize. My little friend, was very surprised by the large size of the envelope. He looked at him, from the bottom to upwards, like at Bao Bab. This parcel arrived from New York City, from Patricia. Patricia is very great Artist and Illustrator.

Inside the envelope was a beautiful and very original postcard.

OMG. I was attacked by white tiger! =)

Don't worry, he's very good! Wow, Patricia sent me her Art Work, - a calendar for 2010, which now adorns my room. Patricia, you know your calendar is so good and attractive that my sister no longer restrain myself and looked at all the pictures on the rest of the year, but I think that will be very interesting if I flip through every month with patience. Hihiihi ...

Oscar for women: A gift from Zindy

Today, in this wonderful - beautiful day, I would like to give all my time, for you - dear women. This doesn't mean that guys cannot read this post. :)
In my country and in other countries of the former Soviet Union, today, we celebrate Women's Day -8 March! I very much would like to congratulate all women with whom I am acquainted - with 8 March ! I wish you -all good, health, a lot of fun and that would have fulfilled all your crazy dreams. Remember that you are loved, there is no reason to live without you! If I could, I would give for you, all Oscars of the world!

I am so glad that esspecialy today, I tell you about one of my very talented friend - Zindy. Even the name, makes get pleasure from life. She is born in northern country- Denmark. On Saturday, at our house called a toad (I'm not about the postman, hi hi), and gave a beautiful Danish envelope. I rubbed a little my asleepy eyes, (maybe it's just another dream!?).

PS. I'llTell you a little secret, when I get mail, I did not immediately open the envelope, I was a little forward, in order that would create a wild atmosphere. All around: my sister, parents, - run, jump, can not find a place for themselves and only I sit, as if I am waiting for something. Adrenaline increases, the pulse becomes stronger, and at the end I attacking the envelope, like a lion in front of mining. : o)

At this time, "mining" was very sweet. I received a gift, a beautiful card with a wish and a beautiful handwriting (both pleasant and interesting to see the natural handwriting of the person with whom I communicate via the Internet! "And most importantly, a Book-mark, all these gifts are made in the original Zindy's style.

Now I'm reading book, "Third Girl" by Agatha Christie, I really want - book mark. Before, I always had something to put some paper in order that would remember what page I stopped, but now with help of dear Zindy, I'll read books and will remember about my Danish girlfriend.

The Legend of Martisor

Man, I cannot believe in it! This morning, when I woke up, I went to the window and saw this ...

I'll tell you honestly, that we was very surprised. In our region don't fall so much snow in the winter , but now, spring has arrived, and still, you can ride on sled!
I forgot to tell you that ... I understand, here are so much written, but this story so interesting telling, about one of our Moldovan traditions.

One of the old Moldovan legend says that once in a fight with the winter witch, that didn’t want to give up its place, the beautiful lady Spring cut her finger and few drops of her blood fell on the snow, which melted. Soon on this place grew a snowdrop and in such a way the spring won the winter. Another legend tells that there was a time when the Sun used to take the shape of a young man and descend on Earth to dance among folk people. Now a dragon found out about this and followed the Sun on Earth, captured him and confined him in a dungeon in his castle. Suddenly the birds stopped singing and the children could not laugh anymore but no one dared to confront the dragon. One day a brave young man set out to find the dungeon and free the Sun. Many people joined in and gave him strength and courage to challenge the mighty dragon. The journey lasted three seasons: summer, autumn and winter. At the end of the third season the brave young man could finally reach the castle of the dragon where the Sun was imprisoned. The fight lasted several days until the dragon was defeated. Weakened by his wounds the brave young man however managed to set the Sun free to the joy of those who believed in him. Nature was alive again, people got back their smile but the brave young man could not make it through spring. His warm blood was draining from his wounds in the snow. With the snow melting, white flowers, called snowdrops, harbingers of spring, sprouted from the thawing soil. When the last drop of the brave young man’s blood fell on the pure white snow he died with pride that his life served a noble purpose. Since then people braid two tassels: one white and one red.

Every March 1 people offer this amulet called Martisor to the each other. The red color symbolizes love for all that is beautiful and also the blood of the brave young man, while white represents purity, good health and the snowdrop, the first flower of spring.

1. Once, when I was riding on a bicycle near the lake, I, accidentally, not even noticing, entered in the oldest and very strange forest. It's not clear from where, on me, ran out a big brown bear and during his looking at me - terrible, wild eyes, asked -"you don't know where is the toilet"?
2. The other day, I received in my Gmail, one message, where was written that I won two vouchers to Hawaii (my dream), but till I don't have a passport, my parents did not allow me, and decided to go - themselves.
3. Recently, I met one woman who is in the Guinness World Records, she grows the most enormous pumpkins in the world.
4. In my country was spending auditioned for shooting one piece of the movie Avatar by James Cameroon.
5. Many believe that to collect all the coins of the world is impossible. I finally did it, but I have only one more coin to get - one from Antarctica.
6. Per day, I have for lunch about 1 big circle of cheese. This is my favorite food.
7. When we finish the toilet paper, we sometimes use in replacement of paper- leaves from trees.
The best thing is burdock's leaves, they are big and very soft.
